Mijannur Rahaman Gazi is a documentary Photographer based in Kolkata, India. He received diploma in photography (3 years) from Photographic Association of Dumdum. Last several years he did some works on locally migrated peoples. He also produced projects on Arsenic, Insecticide affected peoples. His recent work "Home" is a story of socially migrated homeless couple, Ananda and Shyama, who lives at Barrackpore railway station. In this story he finds out how a mosquito net plays a vital role in their life.
Mijannur wants to tell the story of socially and economically deprived peoples in his way. He has strong faith in humanity and medium of Photography. He believes that the turmoil will get over soon, each and everyone of this world will be treated equally.
Recently Mijannur works on his childhood memories and dreams, named "Me and My Remembrance". In his another series "Claustrophobia", he tried to capture his present fillings towards the Kolkata, the metro.
